When stocks are high Home

In Washington, DC, Miami, Florida and Phoenix, Arizona, stocks of unsold new homes has increased over the last twelve months. These markets are generally better for buyers in the recent past.

In Texas, Dallas and Houston have a very small increase in housing stock and a good employment situation. Prices will increase. Families to buy houses. Investors buy and scouts, too. This has created a situation which is very useful for sellers, a little ironic that, given the loss of Texas in general, in the real estate boom of the last six years.

How do I know what the market is like in your neighborhood? Read the local newspaper. Is there a “price reduced” or “buy now, before the next price increase” in advertising the types of homes sold? Are there any stories about layoffs, or new companies coming to the city? Contact your local association of builders, the real estate association, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ask lots of questions about the number of unsold homes now compared to the number a year ago. Ask Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the employer or leave the city. Visit the new models in the communities and ask many questions, too.

Will soon have their own opinions about what is happening in this part of the country in which you want to buy or sell. Your strategy should be tailored to the strength of its position as a seller or buyer. Understanding the market is in a good place to start.
